  I Want My Username Back!!!
Man, I was trying to activate a new HSBC online bank account, but for some reason, something happened, and after I chose my username, password, and security key, it wanted me to call them. So I called, and after being on hold for almost 20 minutes, all they did was walk me through it again. But this time, I couldn't even choose the username I had initially wanted. I asked the customer service rep about it, and she just said, "You can add another number to it." WTF?!?!?!! I don't want to add another stupid number!!! I wish they could just delete my first username and let me choose it again. But no, she couldn't do that. I hate having numbers in my usernames. That's the whole reason I haven't signed up for the online access to my Limited card. It's so stupid...

  Early Xmas Gift
So after waiting until the last day, I ventured back out to the stores to (start and) finish my Xmas shopping. As I was going down I-270 in the S2000, I saw a bunch of brake lights and then noticed the cop, waiting on the left shoulder. Trying not to make it too obvious that I was going over the speed limit, I pulled the e-brake to slow down a little. As I passed the cop, I saw him pull out onto the road. I figured he was going to go after the guy in front, who had been speeding. But no, it was me he went after. I quickly pulled over, and he came out and basically told me that he had pulled me over because I had no front license plate. He took my license and registration and went back to his car. After a minute or two, he came back. I figured he was going to give me an early "Xmas present" and give me a ticket, but in the end, he just gave me a written warning. I assume it's either because I have nothing on my record or he just wanted to be nice. So now, I can no longer say I've never been pulled over. But I'm glad it's not worse.

I guess in a way, it was kind of an early Xmas present...

  No PS3 for Me
So after getting 2.5 hours of sleep and waiting around for almost 4 hours at Arundel Mills Mall to try and get the new PS3, I have nothing to show. We got there early and were told that we weren't allowed to be on the mall property until 6AM, even across the street at a Safeway. We had hoped that they might start letting us line up around 4AM, but that didn't happen. Eventually, everyone just ignored the mall security and started standing around Best Buy. They even put up some barricade tape to try and keep everyone out, but the crazy people just broke it and ran up to the store. We had even tried to make a nice line at one of the entrances to the mall, hoping that they'd just go with it and let us get them. But finally, the cops came and told us that Best Buy had decided not to open today and forced everyone to leave. We even saw a couple people almost get arrested. The scene was just crazy. There must've been a few hundred people all competing to get 1 out of 20 systems.

After speeding back to Rockville to try CompUSA, we were told they had none. And the only way to reserve one is to buy a 40" Sony LCD TV. That's lame. I don't think any other stores are going to have any either. Boo. By the time this whole thing ended, it was time to go to work. Yay...

  I Hate Traffic
It really shouldn't take an hour and 20 minutes to get from Germantown to Dulles airport after rush hour is over, especially since I took a few "shorcuts" and went down VA-267 at about 80mph .  And stupid WTOP only reported the accidents after we'd pass them.

Do You Eat Bugs in Your Salad?

Remind me never to go to Broadway Diner again.  Last night, Ellen and I had dinner there.  We got an appetizer, gyros, and salad to share.  We finished the appetizer before the gyros and salad arrived.  And since we wanted to eat the gyros while it was still hot, we ate that before really getting into the salad.  After eating about half the salad, I discovered what looked like a little dead fly in it .  So we called the waitress over, and she said, "Oh, we have lots of bugs flying around.  It's okay.  It could have just fallen from the light."  She said she'd go get the manager.  After about 5 minutes, the manager comes over looks at it and says, "There is nothing I can do.  You have already finished your food."  Then he says, "There is nothing wrong with that," and basically walked away. You'd think he'd at least offered us some sort of discount or something.  After he left, I told Ellen, "So does he eat bugs?"

Stupid me, I should've at least taken a picture of it.
